bonjour a tous, voila j'ai un texte à faire pour l'angais, on doit dire pouquoi parler anglais est très important.Je le poste pour voir ce qui ne va pas, les fautes de temps de vocabulaire....

Cela devient de plus en plus important de savoir parler anglais avec le développement des échanges au niveau mondial. C’est le commerce international. De plus, l’anglais est la langue la plus parlée au monde, c’est la « langue universelle ». Il est parlé par huit cent cinquante millions de personnes dans le monde. De nombreux états ont l’anglais comme langue officielle. Parallèlement, l’anglais est une nécessité quand on voyage à travers le monde. Par ailleurs, le développement des moyens de communication ont rendu encore plus important l’usage de cette langue. Ainsi, pour s’informer, comprendre cette langue est primordial car la plupart des sites internet sont rédigés dans « la langue de Shakespeare ». De même qu’apprendre l’anglais permet de découvrir nouvelle civilisation, de nouvelles coutumes, une nouvelle façon de penser. C’est pourquoi savoir parler anglais est très important aujourd’hui et ca le sera encore plus demain…

I’ve changed a few errors and indicated some more in notes (which I haven’t changed). It’s quite a good translation though, with just a few errors:
These days it’s becoming more and more important to know English with world trade development. It is International Business.
- better: ‘with the development of world trade’ or ‘with the development of trade on a global scale’
Besides, English is the most spoken language in the world; it is THE “universal language”.
- missing definite article
It is spoken by eight hundred fifty people. A lot of states have English AS THEIR official language. Furthermore, you need speak English when you travel around the world.
- look again at how you’ve translated the number of speakers
- ‘to need TO do something’
Moreover, the development of COMMUNICATION METHODS makes THE English language YET MORE IMPORTANT.
- ‘ways of communication’ is a little too literal a translation
- missing definite article again
Therefore, for informing, understandING this language is paramount since the most of website are written by “Shakespeare language”.
- ‘for informing’ – ‘pour’ here means ‘(in order) to’ and suggests an aim, which ‘for’ does not do in English. ‘informer’ is ‘to inform’, ‘s’informer’ is ‘to keep up to date’. So, ‘(in order) to keep (yourself) up to date’ would be the translation of ‘pour s’informer’.
- to use a verb as a noun, you generally use the ‘ing’ part of the verb, rather than the infinitive (although you can technically use the infinitive with ‘to’, but that seems a little bit strange to me)
- ‘the most of website’ - simply ‘most’ + plural noun or ‘the majority of’ + plural noun.
- ‘written by’ = ‘écrit PAR’. ‘écrit/rédigé DANS’ = ‘written IN’
- la langue DE Shakespeare – you have not translation the possessive.
In the same way, learn English allow discover new civilisationS, new CUSTOMS, new wayS of thinking…
- see previous note on ‘understand’, using a verb as a noun for ‘learn’.

Voilà ce que je changerais :
- tu peux enlever "these days" au début . tu parles d'une généralité donc, pas besoin de l'introduire avec "these days" .
- je pense qu'avant "international business" il faut mettre "THE", tu définis le "business", ce n'est pas celui de l'Angleterre ou autres mais l'international..à vérifier ...
- au lieu de "besides" je mettrais "moreover", c'est un question de goût
- tu as oublié de traduire " dans le monde" dans la 4ème phrase. Je mettrais "all over the world" ou tout simplement "in the world" .
- plutôt que "a lot of states", mets "many states" , c'est une question de goût mais c'est mieux !
- non pas "for official language" mais "AS ". Revois ton cours sur FOR/AS/SINCE
- au lieu de "furthermore", je mettrais "on the other hand", question de goût là encore .
- plutôt que "travel around the world" met "throughout" , ça exprime la même idée !
- au lieu de "moreover", là, je mettrais "furthermore" ( oui, tu as bien deviné, question de goût !
) -"development of ways of communication"...tout ca me semble bien long ! peut être peut on le remplacer par "development of communication ways" ? un mot composé ?
là, je ne sais pas trop ... cherche dans des dicos ; à mon avis, il doit y avoir une expression pour ça ! - "coutumes" se dit "customs" ...ne pas confondre avec "Customs" qui est la douane
- et enfin, "that is why "plutôt que "this is why" . c'est une expression toute faite !

‘this is why’ marche bien ici, je pense.
‘furthermore’ et ‘on the other hand’ veulent dire des différentes choses… ce dernier semble indiquer une opposition, mais signifie simplement ‘d’ailleurs’
‘as official language’ – on a besoin de quelque chose entre ‘as’ et ‘official’ – je dirais ‘as their official…’
- Il ne faut pas mettre ‘the’ avant ‘international business’
- ‘travel around the world’ – c’est parfait, ne le change pas.
Correct the errors and repost and and i'll re-read it to see if there are any mistakes left

Je suis désolé de ne répondre que maintenant, mais hier soir, je n'ai pas pu.
Donc, je reposte le texte corrigé. Par contre, pour les liens logiques comme aud18 m'avait dit, je les change ou je les laisse?
Sinon, une autre question : c'est possible de dire "knowing"? Je pensais que cette forme n'existait pas. Merci.

Sorry, I missed a couple of errors here too:
- ‘learning English’ is a singular noun and so needs a singular verb with it – so you need to change ‘allow’
- ‘allow’ needs an object – so, ‘learning English allows you to discover’
This is why knowing English is very important today and will be even more SO tomorrow…
- sorry, I missed a word out when I corrected it the first time… my fault.
- ‘this is why knowing English is..’ is perfectly correct. ‘knowing’ does exist, although it’s not hugely common, it doesn’t sound too bad at all. You could write ‘That is why English is..’ or ‘this is why understandING and speakING English is… (as aud18 suggested) if you prefer, and these are nice options, probably better than the original.
Correct and repost again...I hope I haven't missed anything this time. On the question of 'linking words', all yours are fine, and as others have said, it's simply a question of taste, but I wouldn't change them.
