bac anglais !!

1)The day of the execution by Henry Slesar (1959)

In this picture, we can see an electric chair with leather strops.
Those leather strops are used for keeping the condemned man on the chair in order to prevent him from moving.

The main colour of this picture is red. It symbolizes blood and death.
There is an other colour which catches our attention : a yellow light coming from the window.
It might be early in the morning because the sun is just starting to shine.
Maybe that yellow light stands for hope.

This text is an extract from a novel which entitles The day of the execution and it was written by Henry Slesar.
There are four characters:
The first character is Marray Rodman. He is 38 and he has been sentenced to death in the electric chair for the murderer of a woman.
The second character is Warren Selvey. He is the prosecuting attorney of the trial of this murder and he proved Rodman’s guilt.
The third character is Phil Arlington. He’s an old man and he’s the true/real murderer of the crime. He confesses that to Selvey.
And finally the fourth character is a woman named Doreen. We can imagine that she’s probably Solvey’s secretary. She found Selvey beating Mr Arlington.

So, in this extract, Phil Arlington confesses to Warren Selvey that he is the murderer.
He wants to stop the execution of the innocent Murray Rodman but unfortunately it’s too late because the clock has rung twelve o’oclock so he has already been executed.

But Warren Selvey is afraid because he doesn’t want to lose his reputation.
And this is why a fight began between the two characters.
But suddenly Doreen, the secretary, arrived and she saw Phil Arlington on the floor.
Immediately, she slammed the door shut, twisted the inside lock and then she called the police.

Voilà !!! C'est fini désolé si c'était un peu long :s ! J'espère vraiment que vous pourrez m'aider ! Merci !

-straps
-in the chair (one sits "in" a chair)
-which is entitled
-The Day of the Execution (in a title, the first word and all important words are capitalized)
-prosecuting attorney "in" the trial ("Of" is OK, "in" is better)
-He confesses this to Selvey. ("That" is OK, "this" is better.)

Otherwise I think it's OK

Hello!
Ton texte est très bon. Il n'y a que de petites fautes:
---> leather strops --> straps (avec "a")
---> on the chair --> pas on , mais "in" a chair.
---> an other --> en un seul mot
---> a novel which entitles The day of the execution --> a novel which "is called"/ a novel "titled ".........".
---> for the murderer of a woman --> tu voulais dire: the "murder" (inattention...)
---> he’s the true murderer of the crime --> "of the crime" est tout à fait superflu.
---> probably Solvey’s secretary --> Selvey (avec un "e")
---> the clock has rung twelve o’oclock --> utilise le verbe to chime, ou le verbe to strike, au temps approprié (strike est un verbe irrégulier)
Enlève le "o" supplémentaire que tu as collé devant clock (o'suffit! )
---> And this is why a fight --> J'enlèverais le "And" en début de phrase.

Good luck!
