Preterit ou present be+ing ???

Bonjour à tous !
Je dois rendre plusieurs exercices notés et il y a des phrases dont je ne suis pas certaine du tout ; donc, j'aimerais bien savoir si je n'ai pas fait d'erreurs !
Voici l'exercice :
Preterit simple ou present be+ing ?
1. Sue (pick) apples when the accident (happen).
J'ai mis : Sue was picking apples when the accident happened.
2.She (fall) of the tree and (break)her ankle.
J'ai mis : She was falling of the tree and broke her ankle.
3. We (call) an ambulance which (take) her to hospital.
J'ai mis : We were calling an ambulance which took her to hospital.
4. They (drive) here when (have) a crash.
J'ai mis : They were driving there when they had a crash.
5. Luckily, no one (go) too fast so no one (be) hurt.
Luckily, no one was going too fast so no one was hurt.
Pour info, dans mon livre, il y a marqué "present en be+ing" mais, à l'écrit au dessus, est écrit "preterit en be+ing" ,donc, je ne sais pas quel temps il faut utiliser ! J'espère que vous pourrez m'aider !

Bonjour,
Il s'agit bien du preterit simple ou du preterit Be-ing.
Il y a donc une erreur d'énoncé dans ton bouquin,ça arrive !
1. Sue was picking apples when the accident happened.OK
2. She was falling off the tree and broke her ankle.
3. We were calling an ambulance which took her to hospital.
4. They were driving there when they had a crash.OK
5. Luckily, no one was going too fast so no one was hurt.OK
-2 : Tomber d'un arbre est une action soudaine, rapide. Donc...?
-3 : Idem, pour appeler les secours on ne met généralement pas cent sept ans ! Donc...?
Allez, rectifie ces 2 erreurs et ce sera parfait.

Bonjour, c'est donc : she fell of the tree and broke her ankle ; we called an ambulance which took her to hospital !
