E-mail anglais

Hi Everyone!

My parents and I have landed at J F K Airport this Friday.
So we are now on holiday in the “Big Apple” and I am writing you from my room in the Chelsea Inn hotel.

We have some good weather even if it rained a little on yesterday morning.

This town is so large that we spend much more time in Yellow Cabs than visit sites ;-)
But it's worth it: The skyscrapers are really high and their shopping malls are really huge.
You can find everything to buy and I even found some presents for both of you.

There are so many different people here coming from a lot of countries.
The show is in the street.

All the best !

Bonjour,

Bonne continuation!

Hi Everyone!

My parents and I have landed at JFK Airport this Friday.

We have [ING] some good weather even if it rained a little on yesterday morning.

Merci de votre réponse. Est-ce mieux maintenant?

My parents and I have landed at JFK Airport this Friday.
So we are now on holiday in the “Big Apple” and I am writing to you from my
room in the Chelsea Inn hotel.[Le nom de l'hôtel est "Chelsea Inn"(point barre) car "Inn" signifie déjà "hôtel").

We are having some good weather even if it rained a little yesterday morning.

This city is so large that we spent [are spending] much more time in Yellow Cabs than visiting sites ;-)
But it's worth it: The skyscrapers are really high and their shopping malls are really huge.
You can find
everything to buy [my mistake! Choisir "n'importe quoi" qui se dit ...???] and I even found some presents for both of you.

There are so many different people here, coming from a lot of countries.
The show is in the street.

All the best !

Merci Prescott,

We are having some good weather even if it rained a little yesterday morning.

This city is so large that we are spending much more time in Yellow Cabs than visiting sites ;-)
But it's worth it: The skyscrapers are really high and their shopping malls are really huge.
You can find anything to buy and I even found some presents for both of you.

Moi je suis "in" the room, mais la chambre est "at" the Chelsea.

You are welcome, fripon10 !

Une petite erreur (high) m'avait échappé. The skyscapers are really "tall".

Bonne continuation!

"SIGHTS", not "SITES" - "to see the sights", "sight-seeing" - en anglais ,c'est comment nous disons faire du tourisme dans une grande ville

: )

Bonjour,

Selon moi, Sites can also be accepted ( besoin un article) visiting the sights or visiting the sites.

Then finally, I am just wondering that the show is (really?) in the street or the show is on the street

Amicalement,

May

Hello newtoglos,

Can you really visit sights? or do you visit sites?
I think 'sites' is the right word here, don't you think so?

Hello may,
I think 'in' and 'on' the street are both acceptable.

Best wishes.
