Correction / oral bac
Message de moike posté le 26-04-2013 à 21:21:27 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,

Next immigrants come from Ireland (Irish potatoes famine), from central Europe for political reasons (revolution of 1848), economic causes with the hope for a better life with possibility to work in factories, farms. Others come from China, more often men who built railway tracks. The majority are temporary immigrants.
Then comes the last wave of immigration, a massive flow of immigrants concentrated in the North. They came from central and East Europe.
The immigration is going to raise problems such as the overpopulation, tensions with old immigrants, some of Americans become xenophobe.
It is the creation of the notion of "melting pot" (the immigrants have to respect the customs, language, the american way of life).
Considered as a refuge country in the beginning, the United-states has to set up strict measures, even if immigration brings advantages (asset for industry).

Hello.
I will give you some corrections (not everything). First, you need to look at all of your verbs. You are writing about events in the past, therefore you must use a simple past verb or in other cases a present perfect verb. There are certainly lessons on this site for present perfect, or you can look here. Lien internet

It was necessary only a few decades __ to establish the bases of our modern society. Nowadays the economy is not any more (different phrase)treated on a local scale but at the world level. From now on the world economy is based on markets where everything can be sold and where everything can be bought. The technology allowed an increase of the commercial flows both in value and quickly (not an adverb). The speed of circulation of information and the knowledge via the modern networks of communication allows to act quickly (a noun form would be better), a simple click allows the transfer of data or money, the reduction of the controls and the barriers __ the borders favoring all the more all its world flows. The world became a " small village " or the distances and the time were reduced in their minima.
The United States knew a lot of migratory movements. During the first wave of immigration about 6 million people arrive in the United States. Whites often for financial reasons, blacks, wonderers, prisoners. (Add a verb or add to previous sentence).
Next immigrants come from Ireland (Irish potatoes (potato isn't a noun here, so it can't be plural) famine), from central Europe for political reasons (revolution of 1848), economic causes with the hope for a better life with possibility to work in factories, farms.
It is the creation of the notion of __ "melting pot" (the immigrants have to respect the customs, language, the american way of life).
Considered as a refuge country in the beginning, the United-states has to set up strict measures, even if immigration brings advantages (asset for industry).
