Oral/Myths and Heroes
Message de miaku posté le 06-03-2016 à 17:01:21
Bonjour,

I'm going to talk to you about the theme of myths and heroes. But before, I'll define words myth and hero.
A myth is a popular story or literary featuring super-humans beings and outstanding shares. We often find the values of a society and the structure of the human mind.
A hero is a legendary character who is ready of the extraordinary exploits.

I speak of Martin Luther King because for me, the feat of Martin Luther King enters in this notion. Martin Luther King has a very important role in the story of black's men essentially. This icons who helped change the world and lives of Afro-Americans

Martin Luther King was a civil rights activist in the 1950s and 1960s. He led peaceful protests to fight for the rights of all people including African Americans. He hoped that America and the world could become a society where race would not impact a person’s civil rights. Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta, on January 15, 1929. He went to Booker T. Washington High School. He was so smart that he skipped two grades in high school and started his college education at Morehouse College at the young age of fifteen. Martin’s father was a preacher which inspired Martin to pursue the ministry as well.

In his first major civil rights action, Martin Luther King Jr. led the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This started when Rosa Parks refused to move to give up her seat on a bus to a white man. As a result, Martin led a boycott of the public transportation system. The boycott lasted for over a year. It was very tense at times. Martin was arrested and his house was bombed, but in the end he prevailed and segregation on the Montgomery busses ended.

In 1963 Martin Luther King, Jr. helped to organize the famous March on Washington. Over 250,000 people attended this march in an effort to show the importance of civil rights legislation. They hoped for an end to segregation in public schools, protection from police abuse, and hoped to get laws preventing discrimination in employment. It was at this march where Martin gave his « I have a Dream » speech. This speech has become one of the most famous speeches in history. The march and Martin’s speech were a success. The Civil Rights Act was passed a year later in 1964.

Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4. 1968 in Memphis. He was shot by James Earl Ray while standing on the balcony of his hotel.

Hello !

I'm going to talk to you about the theme of myths and heroes. But before, I'll define the words "myth" and "hero".
A myth is a popular story or literary XXX ("story" ici) featuring super-humans beings and outstanding shares . We often find the values of a society and the structure of the human mind.(not clear at all ... where can you find that?)
A hero is a legendary character who is ready of the extraordinary exploits.

I speak of Martin Luther King because for me, the feat of Martin Luther King enters in this notion(très mal dit, en plus des fautes ... phrase à revoir!). Martin Luther King has a very important role in the story= HISTORY ... of black's men essentiallyword order. . This(= singulier!) icons(= pluriel!) who helped change the world and lives of Afro-Americans

Martin’s father was a preacher which (soit grammaire, soit ponctuation!)inspired Martin to pursue the ministry as well.(Quelle différence de niveau de langue!)

In his first major civil rights action, Martin Luther King Jr. led the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This started when Rosa Parks refused to move to give up her seat on a bus to a white man. As a result, Martin LK (don't call him by his first name here!) led a boycott of the public transportation system. The boycott lasted for over a year. It was very tense at times. Martin was arrested and his house was bombed, but in the end he prevailed and segregation on the Montgomery busses ended.ordre des mots et orthographe!)

In 1963 Martin Luther King, Jr. helped to organize the famous March on Washington. Over 250,000 people attended this march in an effort to show the importance of XXX civil rights legislation.

(motel)
MLK = one hero! Where's the myth? You should use several documents ... La biographie sent les encyclopédies ...

Désolée mais here4u a flairé quelque chose aussi; moi j'ai recherché un peu plus, pas longtemps car les biographies se ressemblent assez. Et bingo !!
Dommage pour vous en fin de compte.
