Actually, I think it's "With WHOM was Gillian playing?" rather than "With WHO was Gillian playing?" because whom is the object form and who is the subject, just as "me" is an object and "I" is a subject. To be annoyingly correct, you should never have a preposition at the end of a sentence, but everyone does anyway because it sounds less stuffy.
Example:
"Who is Anne going with?" (Anne va avec qui?) sounds fine but isn't right because "with" is a preposition and shouldn't be at the end of a sentence. But everyone uses it anyway.

The correct way is: "With whom is Anne going?" but that sounds a bit stilted.

However, "With who" is definitely incorrect. It's like saying "with I" or "with she." No no no!

Sorry if that was confusing.

Hello everybody et un grand merci à tous pour votre participation.
Special thanks to swimminlee for her accurate and useful intervention, very kind !
Voici donc les réponses :

1 Who was Gillian playing with ? (Who was playing with Gillian ?)
With whom was Gillian playing ?

2. I don't know what his name is.

3. I haven't finished the job yet.

4. I would have come if you had told me.
(If you had told me I would have come)
You would have told me if I had come

5. Hilary was told to come back later.

Merci à Weena pour une deuxième solution de la numéro 5 :
-Hilary told she was to come back later.

Voilà, mes amis, je vais maintenant réfléchir à ce que je peux vous mijoter
Encore à tous et à toutes
Marie
