Il était une fois une jeune femme qui se promenait le long de la plage, et elle aperçut une lampe bizarre. Elle la ramassa et l’ouvrit bien sûr. Un génie apparut et lui demanda ce qui lui ferait plaisir puisqu’elle venait de le libérer. La jeune femme lui dit qu’elle aimerait qu’il construise un pont entre Londres et le Canada afin qu’elle puisse aller voir ses parents là-bas. Le génie soupira et lui dit que c’était trop difficile, qu’elle devait choisir autre chose. Alors elle lui demanda de lui faire rencontrer un jeune homme beau, riche, patient, tendre, affectueux….Le génie lui demanda aussitôt : « de quelle couleur voulez vous votre pont ? « .

Once upon a time, there was a young woman who was walking along the beach when she saw a strange lamp. She picked it up and of course opened it.
A jinee appeared and asked what would please her since she had just set him free.
The young woman answered that she would like him to build a bridge between London and Canada so that she could be able to visit her parents there.
The jinee sighed and replied it was difficult and that she had to choose something else. Then, she asked him to make her meet a young man who would look patient, good-looking, tender, affectionate and rich.
Straightaway the jinee asked her:"What colour do you want for the bridge?"

The young woman told him she’d like he build a bridge between Londres and Canada for she’ll able to see her parents there. The genius sighed and told her it was too difficult, she has to choose another thing. Then, she asked him to make her meet a beautiful, rich, patient, tender, affectionate, young man. The genius asked at once : What colour do you want your bridge ?

It's easier to build a bridge than find the charming prince !

A genie materialized and asked her what she wished since she had just freed him. The young woman replied she wished she had had a bridge built from London to Canada so that she could have paid a call on her parents over there. The genie sighed and told her it would have been too difficult and that she should have made another wish. So, she asked him to get her to meet a patient wealthy young gentle loving good-looking man… the genie asked her at once “what colour do you want your bridge ?”
