Hello dears,

Another easy exercice that everyone can do! Let's write together...

1) What makes you proud?
2) What memory of your childhood is still making you smile or laugh?
3) Who are you when nobody is looking at you?

Go for it! with THE FORCE.

Hello dears,
J'aurais donné ma tête à couper que j'avais posté ce sujet le 13, mais impossible, encore, de le trouver... donc... It must be one of my present lapses,
and here it is. Sorry! ANSWER A: Topic 2: please, indicate possible mistakes and underline what looks clumsy to you...
What memory of your childhood is still making you smile or laugh
At that time, we were four kids between 6 and 9 years old, always ready to get into a bit of mischief. There were my sister, two friends and myself. That day, we had found a wallet in the street: it was empty, in good condition but dirty. We cleaned the wallet, then we had the crazy idea to fill it with a piece of dog mess. Next, we decided to lay that thing on our neighbour's doorstep. In the end, we hid behind the fence in the alfalfa field, waiting for the neighbour to open her door and find the wallet. When the woman came out and saw the object, she looked to the right and left, then picked it up and quickly closed the door. We were dead of laughter, imagining her surprise when she discovered the content of the item.
In the evening, however, we no longer laughed, because we were not clever enough: the neighbour had seen us and heard us laughing, therefore she went to tell our father everything and of course we were punished, but we didn't care because we had had some fun.
Nowadays, we still laugh about this prank when we recall it, how silly it was. Still with a bit of shame because it was really disgusting and mean.
Thanks for your help.

Hello dears,
Il reste plusieurs corrections à faire au travail de Magie, mais vous pouvez encore vous y essayer...

ANSWER B: Topic 2: What memory of you childhood is still making you smile or laugh?
I was seven or eight old and was the third of four girls. We lived with my parents in a little house surrounded by a garden. My eldest sister, eleven or twelve old, was very imaginative. She loved to organize little shows, plays or dances, we would perform with our friends of the moment. I can still picture « the wings », a semi basement opening into the garden, the chairs we put outside for the audience, our parents and those of our friends. I smile thinking about our costumes made of crepe paper. I will never forget the amused and tender smiles of the adults at our clumsy, but so enthusiastic performances.

ANSWER B: Topic 2: What memory of you childhood is still making you smile or laugh?
I was seven or eight years old and was the third of four girls. We lived with our parents in a little house surrounded by a garden. My eldest sister, eleven or twelve years old, was very imaginative. She loved to organize little shows, plays or dances, we would perform with our friends of the moment. I smile thinking about our costumes made of crepe paper. I will never forget the amused and tender smiles of the adults/grown-ups* at our clumsy, but so enthusiastic performances.
* "Adult" is formal and neutral; the word "grown-up", which is generally used when speaking to children and by children among themselves, seems more appropriate in this context.

Here is now ANSWER C: Topic 1: What makes you proud? please, indicate possible mistakes and underline whatever feels unnatural to you...
What occurs to me is the way I now manage to cope with figures and numbers
I remember how at school I was good at every litterary thing, like languages and philosophy and so on ; but as soon as math or even logic was the matter, I immediately felt something shutting down in my brain and everything in me at a loss. What a panic I went through when I had to sweat in front of the blackboard, trying to solve whatever equation !
Then I had my children and I had to help them do their homework, and it was as if I was going back to school, learning everything from the beginning ! Simple problems, simple calculations, then more tricky ones and suddenly I was more at ease with it !
It was some victory over my natural lack of skill (if I may put it this way) and this is why I am proud of it.

Hello dears,

Here is ANSWER D: Topic 1
What makes me proud is the way I keep moving forward despite challenges and difficult moments. I remember one day when I had to take my driving test, which was important to me. I was nervous and afraid of failing, but I decided to stay calm and trust myself. I took my courage and tried my best, even though I was scared and unsure of what would happen. When I finally passed the test, I felt an incredible sense of pride, happiness, and relief. That moment showed me that hard work, determination, and persistence always pay off, and it made me realize I can overcome any challenge in life. It also reminded me of the importance of believing in myself, staying positive, and never giving up, which makes me proud of who I am today. Every small achievement in life teaches me something valuable, and lessons make me very proud.
Have a good day 🤗

Hello dears,
Here are the corrections of your EXPRESSIONS.
- ANSWER A: Topic 2: initial text:

ANSWER B: Topic 2: What memory of you childhood is still making you smile or laugh?
Initial text and my indications.
I was seven or eight (XXXXX old) and was the third of four girls. We lived with my parents in a little house surrounded by a garden. My eldest sister, eleven or twelve (XXXXX old), was very imaginative. She loved to organize little shows, plays or dances, we would perform with our friends of the moment. I can still picture « the wings », a semi basement opening into the garden, the chairs we put outside for the audience, our parents (and those of our friends. I smile thinking about our costumes made of crepe paper.
I will never forget the amused and tender smiles of the adults at our clumsy, but so enthusiastic performancesB pour l’usage du ‘would’.

I was seven or eight years old and was the third of four girls. We lived with our parents in a little house surrounded by a garden. My eldest sister, eleven or twelve years old, was very imaginative. She loved to organize little shows, plays or dances, we would perform with our friends of the moment. I can still picture « the wings », a semi-basement (hyphen) opening into the garden, the chairs we put outside for the audience, our parents and those of our friends.
OK

ANSWER C: initial text: Topic 1: What makes you proud?
Here is now ANSWER C: Topic 1: What makes you proud? Gerold’s indications : A good text!

Here is ANSWER D: Topic 1: initial text.
